This Thing We Call Church
Have you ever given any thought to where the current way we “do church” originated? Is there something God ordained about maintaining the same format for church services every Sabbath? Is it hidden in one of Paul’s or Timothy’s or one of the other apostle’s writings? Did Jesus utter the words I will build my church and it shall consist of three opening songs, an opening prayer, followed by a sermonnette, another song, a main sermon, one to three more closing songs, and a closing prayer, every Sabbath, week after week, year after year? Can’t find it? Is it possible the translators left it out?
Of course this is silly talk. Jesus, nor His disciples, nor the early church ordained any particular format for worship. You can look but you won’t find it.

No Guts, No Glory
God's word is full of amazing, glorious promises.
But those promises are for a time yet future. Until then,
we must wait and gut it out in Satan's world. In this message, Tony Stith discusses what it means to "gut it out" while we wait for the fulfillment of those glorious promises.
